Strange Power, Strange Water, Strange Candy
May 6, 2026 — Day 43
Antelope Point Marina & RV Park, Page AZ
We were plugged in all night long and yet we found that our batteries were not at 100% in the morning. We had reached 100% but were now discharging. How odd. Paul has been working on some battery monitoring software and it has helped us a lot, and it agrees with the Victron app, we’re not charging.

It rises to 100% ((920Ah) and then falls. And the remote says we’re not charging.

We’ll figure this out later. The washer, dryer work, and refrigerator work. Let’s keep loading and unloading dirty clothes, towels and sheets for what seems like forever. We did laundry for most of the next few days when we were home to flip loads.
The water pressure is pretty awful.

There are a lot of RV parts stores in town, tucked inside hardware stores. Let’s boost the PSI from 50-55 up to 55-60psi. Sadly, we never found a water regulator that high, we did find lower pressure ones.
And we finally opened up and tried the strange candy that Paul’s daughter gave us.

Yes, you read that correctly. Listen to the music through your mouth. Audio over bone conduction is a real thing. This is why your voice sounds funny when you hear a movie or recording yourself. Normally, you hear yourself both through your ears and through your bones. But music? Let’s just say we’re glad we tried them but please, no more. It was a very strange experience!
