I’ve Got A Bike, You Can Ride It If You Like, It’s Got A Basket, A Bell That Rings and Things To Make It Look Good

Paul’s been thinking about getting an Electric Mountain Bike. He loves his “acoustic” bike. But, as we age, well the hills get steeper. He also been thinking of a “full suspension” bike. This is the kind that has front and rear shocks. So, he rented one to make sure he liked it. (Susan here: Honestly? I think he was trying to talk himself out of buying one but he’ll never admit it.)

There’s an area of easier MTB trails right near our campground so that’s where he went. And look what he found when he got there.

That post just left of center is a bike repair station. It has the clamp to hold the bike and it also had full set of tools chained to it. So we really didn’t need to build the hillbilly stand the other day.

He loved the rental!

You can see 2,000 arches behind in the distance.

Paul was surprised that an e-bike still can give you a workout! Later in the afternoon we both went out for a ride along the Colorado River, it was really pretty.

Sadly the ride was short. Just behind is a construction zone on the bike path, this also used a lane of the roadway. There was a 5 minute traffic light, so we’d have to make it through that section in 5 minutes or we’d have traffic. It look doable, especially with 2 e-bikes. We just ran this section twice.

It was good for both of use to get on our bikes again.
