Crunch
May 5, 2026 — Day 42
Lone Rock Beach Campground, Glen Canyon Recreation Area, Big Water, UT — Antelope Point Marina & RV Park, Page AZ
It is always good when moving day starts off pretty.

And looking the other direction….

We’re not going far, just over to Page, AZ. Why? We don’t know when we’ll get hookups again and we need to do laundry! We’ve been boondocking for 10 days with no hookups whatsoever. We run the generator to get power when we need to. We’re running about 3-5 hours a day. We’ve filled up with potable water once. But eventually you have to move on because at Lone Rock you’ve got 14 days. We were on day 10 and needed to do some laundry.
And sometimes it doesn’t go well.

Susan is kicking herself. “GOAL,” she says, “Get Out And Look” and Paul is kicking himself, too. He thought she had it lined up and walked away to get the Jeep out of the road. Miscommunication = crunch. There are a couple small things that has happened, nothing at all requiring body work. This was a first. We already have a line on a good fiberglass place back home, and aside from our pride, that’s all that is hurt. (susan here: it was the lowest speed of low speed impacts. I doubt I was going more than 1-2 mph. And I heard it and I KNEW what happened. My mind imagined much more than the actual damage. But, as we’re writing this on May 22nd, I’m still irked with myself.)
We can’t even remember if we did laundry that day but the sun did set!

Hey, isn’t that the same rock? Yes, we only move 22 miles by road, less, straight line. Paul here, now I’m not so sure and I’ve deleted the other photos. Oh well…

The trip is so small you can’t even see the red line!
